What is Deception Games?
Deception Games is a collection of social party games built around bluffing, reading people, and figuring out who is lying. The games are designed for groups playing together in person, on a video call, or anywhere you can talk to each other in real time.
Every game runs in the browser. Players join the same room using a short code, the website handles secret roles, timers, voting, and scoring, and the conversation happens wherever you already are.
The Games
Imposter
Everyone gets a secret word. One or more players get a similar but different word and must blend in without being caught. Players take turns giving one-word clues, discuss who seems off, then vote. If the Imposters escape the vote, they win. Simple to explain, surprisingly hard to play. Supports 3 to 15 players.

Everyone answers the same question, but secret Insiders already know what the most popular answer is. Can you spot who knows too much? Bluffers rewards careful listening and rewards great acting. Coming soon for 3 to 15 players.

Party games are most fun when everyone can join without friction. Asking people to install an app, sign up, or pay before a game night kills the mood. Deception Games runs entirely in the browser and stays free to play for everyone.
The site is supported by non-intrusive display advertising. If you enjoy the games, that is the only contribution we ask for.
How it works
Rooms are created in real time using WebSocket connections. Word assignments, voting, timers, and scores all happen on the server so every player sees the same game state simultaneously. No account or personal data is stored. Rooms close automatically when all players leave.
