What is it?
Every player gets a secret word. One or more Imposters get a similar but different word and have to bluff their way through without getting caught.

Frequently asked questions
How many players do you need for Imposter?
You need at least 3 players, and rooms hold up to 15. With 3 to 5 players there is one Imposter, with 6 to 9 there are two, and with 10 or more there are three.
Is Imposter free to play?
Yes, completely free. There is no account, no download, and no payment. Create a room, share the 6-letter code, and play.
Can I play Imposter on one phone?
Yes. Pass & Play mode runs the whole game on a single device that gets passed around the table, so it works in person without everyone needing their own phone.
What happens if the vote is a tie?
Nobody is eliminated on a tie, which means the Imposters survive the round and score their escape points. Ties reward Imposters, so spread votes carefully.
Does the Imposter know they are the Imposter?
Yes. The Imposter sees their own word and a clear label telling them they are the Imposter. They know to blend in from the very first clue.
Can I play Imposter over Zoom or Discord?
Yes, it works great remotely. Everyone joins the room from their own phone or browser tab while talking on the call. The game handles words, timers, and voting.
